Sheriff Lupe Valdez Launches 2008 Campaign Website

DALLAS — Sheriff Lupe Valdez was proud to announce today the launch of her 2008 campaign website. This website, available at www.lupevaldez.com, will serve as an informational resource and organization tool for those interested in the Sheriff's re-election campaign.

The Sheriff's 2008 campaign website features online organizing tools from the Texas Democratic Party and the popular online community Facebook. Users of these services will be able to join the Sheriff's groups, recruit new supporters, communicate with other backers of the Sheriff and keep up to date with the campaign. Membership in the Texas Democratic Party's Action Center tools and Facebook is free and open to all Internet users.

The Sheriff's 2008 website also features standard campaign website tools such as an online email list and online donations processing. Online donations are processed through PayPal, the most commonly-used online transaction engine. Donors do not need a PayPal account to give to the Sheriff's campaign, as credit cards can be used through the service.

Though today marks the formal launch of the campaign's website, new tools, including online video and more online communities, will be rolled out to the site throughout the campaign. Supporters of the Sheriff are encouraged to check back often to keep up to date with the campaign and the tools available to help them support the Sheriff's re-election.
